Commercial Analyst / Accountant – Containers for Change 

We are WARRRL, the people behind Containers for Change in Western Australia who have helped save 3 billion containers from landfill since October 2020.

We have an opportunity to join our finance team in the role of Commercial Analyst / Accountant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team with all month-end and year-end processes. 

  • End-to-end management of Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) forms. 

  • Assist with various consolidation and financial reporting tasks. 

  • Work with commercial and AR teams to review First Responsible Supplier volumes (Actual Vs Forecast) 

  • Review, update and own finance policies and procedures 

  • Monthly analysis – major expense items, Marketing, processor fees, and logistics. 

  • Assist with monthly BAS & annual FBT return. 

  • Assistance to Senior Accountants. 

  • Other Ad hoc tasks. 

 

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Qualified Accountant with 5+ years’ experience (preferably CA or CPA) with a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards  

  • A professional work ethic and natural ability with numbers. 

  • Ability to conduct analysis, problem-solving, manage/prioritise competing demands. 

  • Excellent written communication skills which may extend to policy reviews, interpreting legislation and regulations. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Excel. 

  • Able to work independently & with minimum supervision. 

  • Working knowledge with WorkDay (desirable).
